This is a normal post Did you see they're back making music again fairly recently?
Producer dude named Max Tundra has put their vocal talent to work. It isn't terrible.

This is a normal post Bizarrely, yes.

This is a normal post Yeah it was a comeback no-one was expecting.
To be fair it's really just Max Tundra's outrageously quirky electro-pop with 2 ladies who can sing pretty well.

This is a normal post Also,
In retrospect I kinda think it's one of the most hardcore things that happened at that festival. A couple of teenage girls went out in front of a crowd they new was hostile, and sang the shit they knew was going to wind all the rockers and metal heads up.

And when the bottles of piss went flying they had a "fuck you" attitude and kept singing. How many pussy indie bands of that time would have had a strop and flounced? Hardcore.

This is a normal post (Secretly agrees but would have been one of the blokes holding up the "BOLLOCKS" sign).

This is a normal post I remember that being the line the NME took at the time.
Hardly a radical revision of history.

This is a normal post I never much read NME to be honest,
But it sounds like it wasn't completely shit.

This is a normal post They were kids and didn't fully understand what was going on
But; it is like putting a protestant flute band to play at an Irish funeral.
They have the "right" to be there, but, at the same time, they have no right to be there.

This is a normal post I think the religious sectarianism analogy is a bit toppy.

This is a normal post I think they were pretty self-aware.
Their interviews were always amusing, hence why they got adopted by the NME et al.

This is a normal post Trying to decide who actually deserved it.

Probably Ian Brown.

This is a normal post From what I understand, they thought being bottled off stage was pretty fucking funny.
And they're right!

This is a normal post I remember them pointing out that
they just got a shower backstage, leaving the audience as the ones covered in piss and beer for the rest of the day.

This is a normal post Toxic masculinity is cool, everyone says so.
I'd totally like to be part of a baying mob of white men throwing bottles of piss at two teenage girls, that'd show 'em!
(, Sat 2 May 2020, 0:44, Reply)
This is a normal post Aren't black men allowed in this baying mob?
What about women?
