I believe he is referring to the title, "Peter Demetz, figurative wood sculptor"
which indicates that Peter Demetz only sculpts using figurative wood, or that he's only a wood sculptor in the figurative sense.
I think they meant to say that he sculpts wooden figures, but what do I know?
