I seem to remember...
...that shining a laser on the window and recording the vibrations was used as a method of eavesdropping. Presumably using a high speed camera since Q has the budget for it!

You’d use an interferometer setup to generate an analogue signal
But yes. Lasers can be used to record sound at a distance, as long as you have a sufficiently flexible surface to bounce the laser off. Glass works.

Given someone worked out how to see* through bushes at a distance I wouldn't be surprised if they haven't worked out how to work with multiple lasers to combine and recreate audio from poorer sources
