I made this!
Working with @EqualArts to examine the relationship between #oldermen and #creativity, we created embedded #animation works where the ideas and creativity of these men were expressed on crowns they wore.
A compilation of snippets of the final works, moving between gadgets and nature, #popart and #signlanguage, and how they see creativity in their lives. The images are mostly drawn from their own work.
The animations were created, in order of showing, by Daria MistMiav Bulavina (Thom’s Girl), Liv Berry, @kiracorporal and myself. Daria, Kira and Liv have a #SheffieldHallam connection, and Sylvie Johnson from Newcastle is a graduate of Newcastle College.
The crowns can be seen as part of #secularmagic, relying on sleight of hand, optical illusions, physics, psychology and special effects. They are an expression of the #reenchantment of the world through #technique.
