This is a link post Figured out why the Embdedded YouTube videos don't work in FF
Seems that there is an issue on the links board with the way in which it has encoded the URL and the embedded YouTube player does not like it.

For example
www.youtube.com/v/ZUQ5k6gBG2c&rel=0&ap=%2526fmt%3D18
should be
www.youtube.com/v/ZUQ5k6gBG2c&rel=0&ap=%2526&fmt=18

Would make viewing the videos much easier as then I don't have to click the link to view them.
Edit.
The above links in the message body, work for me, but this link does not www.youtube.com/v/ZUQ5k6gBG2c&rel=0&ap=%2526fmt%3D18 You need to click the link in the Post Title to see what I see.

The link in the Post Title goes to a page where it demonstrate the issues I am seeing and is not the problem URL.

Edit 2:
www.youtube.com/v/ZUQ5k6gBG2c&rel=0&ap=%2526fmt%3D18
goes to
www.youtube.com/swf/l.swf?video_id=ZUQ5k6gBG2c&rel=0&eurl=http%3A//www.b3ta.com/links/&iurl=http%3A//i3.ytimg.com/vi/ZUQ5k6gBG2c/default.jpg&t=OEgsToPDskIm9gPr8V6Hb9aqGJd2cYiG&use_get_video_info=1&load_modules=1&ap=%26fmt%3D18
All I get there is a spinning wheel, and the data being sucked down, but not displaying

This is a normal post Well down here in Australia those links do not work
and it is becoming annoying for me. Perhaps my ISP is doing something they should not. Anybody else having these issues?

This is a normal post I'm
Down Under and using Firefox with no real problem.

I'm on IINET.

I occasionally get FF hanging and refusing to play any videos but a restart of FF fixes that.

Cheers

This is a normal post IE works for me, but I choose not to use it
Guess I am going to have to you IETab to get b3ta.com to show up using IE, but then I loose the goodness of noscript when venturing away to view 3rd part links.

And in the title link, it's like the man says. the embed don't work.

I have found for some time that FF3 will play one vid embedded in the links page, but then not subsequent vids. I have to follow the link to youtube to see those. I am not sure if this is what you mean, but thought I would share.

This is a normal post How to fix
You're giving a l-o-n-g URL and it's not necessary because most of the crap is internal tracking.

First part: "www.youtube.com/"
So far, so good.

Then there's either "v/" or "watch?v=" and then a string of 11 characters. Everything after those 11 characters starting with the ampersand ("&") can be removed, thusly:

That's all you need to watch a vid or embed. The stuff like "%3D" comes from URL encoding which uses escape codes for non-alphanumerics like symbols and so on. Apparently the b3ta parser doesn't like that.

This is a normal post there are two issues here!
some youtube videos are not released for embedding. B3ta's auto embed thingy does not know this and you get the "this video has been removed", but not all of them are like that:

here's an embedded video that should work:
www.b3ta.com/links/Lighthouses_vs_huge_waves
and here's an embedded one that shouldn't (but will if you click the youtube link within the b3ta post)
www.b3ta.com/links/Just_watched_a_bit_of_paul_o_grady_ghost_hunting_on_ITV2
(oop sorry, this is NSFW, so be careful)
now if you can't watch either: that is another problem
If you are unable to watch youtube at all then there is a problem with your browser, computer or router. Weirdly i had this problem and it was my router. Try this, confirm youtube will not play, switch off your modem (or your combo modem+router) switch it back on again and wait 3 minutes. It should then work.
I can't confirm but typically it's a problem with the MTU frame size and youtube gets pissed off with connections that have too small an mtu size (such as dial up) and eventually just refuses to stream to you. REsettign the router resets the mtu (which has shrunk over time due to packet management)

my two pence.

google also thinks it's an isp proxy issue, but it is very unlikely an isp would deliberately stop it's users from visiting one of the most popular sites on the web. though could be an error.

This is a normal post it's definitely a valid link
so not sure what's going on there. Are you sure you having got something sitting in between you and the internets that might be interfering with said link?
