It isn't Play sending the image request to leech your site - it's Opera. So why the dick move against Play?

This is a normal post No, IE, Firefox and other browsers fail. 404. Server not found.
The reason being that Play have linked to a server that doesn't exist outside the developer's network.
Both Opera (9) and Firefox will try to resolve incomplete addresses by searching, but Firefox only seems to do it on typed addresses. (Try it: techdesign/LandingQ4_08/QuestionOfSport/dev/pb_qos.css )

It might be misguided behaviour on Opera's part (indeed, it doesn't seem to do it in Opera 10), but it's still Play's fault for shoddy Find And Replace skills.

This is a normal post It's a combination of a broken link and Opera trying to fix it but failing.
So a bit stupid of Play (but definitely doesn't deserve this) - though ultimately it's Opera's fault for trying too hard.

the real quesitons of course is, who gives a shit? it's play.com. i really don't think this will affect their market standing to too much of an horrific degree.
