Game Deaths
Surprisingly poignant collection of deaths in 80's and 90's games.
Also a nice computer game version of 'Mad World' by Tears for Fears.
I'm feeling pretty old as I can name most of those games and played them when they came out.

ooh, that's ace! I think I can name most of them, but there are a few I have no idea...
got to say, though, at 43secs it shows the old star wars game - that is not the player death sequence, that is beating the level. All it should show is "game over"...

Anyone remember the name of the game at 1:46?
I lost hours and a hell of a lot pocket money to that game. Can't remember for the life of me what it was called though. I want to say final fight, but I know that's something else...

Awesome vid!
(even if I *did* see it a couple of days ago on Kotaku =P )
The scary thing for me is I can probably name 75% of the games shown, and can remember playing most of them...

Wasn't the tune posted by a b3tan a week or so ago?
Pretty sure it was, I'll go check.

Why yes, yes it was
They didn't make it though, so probably best not mentioning it. No-one really cares if a tune is GC either, that's what makes it popular.

The game at 1:16...
it's a flying into-the-screen shooter with a dragon and it's touched a nerve in the darkest recesses of my gamebrain. Can anyone name it for me?

Barbarian Death
Anyone remember 'Barbarian' on the C64. I think it was on the Spectrum too. If you timed it right you could do a twisty type sword spin that would take off your opponents head in one slice. A little wierd thing would then come on to volley the head off screen and drag the rest of the body away. Wicked.
