I loathe that shop, but surprisingly they are the biggest bookseller in the country*. God knows how, I've never seen a book I want in there.
*now I've typed that it seems impossible, but I'm pretty sure its true.

He said there were going to be more big ones this summer. It seems alot of high street brands took out 6/7 year loans in 2007 before it all went tits up. Look out for companies that have undergone massive expansion recently and have concessions all over. My money is on a major high street chemist.

They have a decent online business and you can actually buy stuff you'd want there - they've got a bit of a niche. I still use it now and again and I think a lot of people do.
Smiths is a better bet. And good riddance.

Argos are probably fine as they sell lots of different items - although their high street stores might close in favour of the big Argos Extra stores out on the retail parks
