Sorry to tell you mate, but he wasn't an alchy, it wasn't self inflicted, congenital disease.
Edit: he just had a weak liver, something genetic about it, it ran in the family, he had to have both femurs replaced recently, but he was unable to be anaesthetised because his body couldn't cope with it, it was 50/50 he would make it then.
