That's amazing. Something so futuristic, and horse-drawn carriages in the same place.

I had girlfriend from there, and went to visit her one time I was between jobs in London. She turned all Misery and wouldn't let me leave, started talking about us getting a house and having kids, (and this was on the basis of a single week I'd spent giving her a gallop when she was backpacking in Perth the year before). Got quite scary until I made run for it when she was in the shower. Anyway it's a long story which I told to better effect on qotw once. but the ancient suspended railway is still there. At least there was one happy memory of the place

I put it down to good control developed from disciplined and conscientious wanking during my teen years. Never caught the clap either, though that was more down to luck as there were a few odd times I let my standards drop. The one or two occasions I did use them I reckon I had reason to, and oddly enough no woman I bedded in my moderate but geographically diverse rooting history ever asked me too. not a boast, just an observation. I mean, maybe I shouldn't be drinking and posting, but it is lock-in and Oban do a rather good single malt in my defence

It's a perfectly normal city until you walk around a corner and boom! - you feel like you're in Bioshock, with the Schwebebahn on its steel stilts.

The Wuppertal Schwebebahn has been operating without problem since 1901 until an accident took place on 12 April 1999. A car fell 30 metres off the track and five people lost their lives while 47 were injured, some of them seriously.
