has heard of youtube? And it's ability to get people fired by showing everyone their foolishness?
Didn't we have the video of the busdriver who was reading a book whilst driving along recently?

He appears to be a cunt. If his rig wasn't fit for purpose, all he had to do was say so; it wouldn't be his fault

Bus drivers are fucking evil.
...Also...is the person making the video drunk? Sounds it.

however, the bloke with the camera instead of filming the driver could have made himself far more useful by putting the ramp down himself.
Thanks for labelling all drivers as evil it really makes my job such a wonderful job especially when twats get on my bus and treat me like scum when I've done all I can to be helpful.
we are not all the same.
And to point out some facts here:

Thanks for confirming It is a "cost effective vehicle"
No-one has pointed out a small thing:
The wheelchair is trying to get OFF that means that the employee of the month somehow allowed it onboard. Now doesn`t that mean it has to get off somewhere?
Your HSE points are valid, but rather undermined by this small consideration.
The vid doesn`t show that so presumably the poor occupant had to carry on until a level kerb with the bus was found somewhere in Greater Manchester.
There is no sign of a continuing conversation with his controller which is I would have thought on the procedure list for something like this or perhaps that stopped when deregulation apparently allowed giving out PSV`s to white van men?
These are the ones that give your trade such a bad rep.

fortunately they are a tiny, and I mean a tiny, minority.
As you say, which I didn't notice initially, the wheelchair is already on the bus and the driver is inisting that he cannot operate the ramp that therefore reinforces the case of the driver that this wheelchair has accessed the bus without the ram being put down when they boarded and should therefore be able to do the same on exiting the bus. When the camera pans down to the floor the gap is reasonable and the height is perhaps an inch or so off level with the kerb. So it would appear the driver has done all he can to make exiting the bus as easy as it was on entering the bus. This stink of some twat with a camera deliberately looking to blow this out of propotion.
However, if I was the driver I wouldn't even have entertained him I would have lowered the ramp on both occassions so that he would have not to fucking shout about, but then I don't suffer with a bad back and I would not recommend any Driver putting themselves on the sick by putting their backs out.
I have stood for the Union BTW.
This anti Bus-Driver bullshit causes many many drivers to suffer long term stress and illness realted from stress - thanks for doing all you can to push it that little harder.

what are the requirements in Manchester for disabled access? I take it this is a private first bus , not a franchised from Manchester local gov service, so it looks like absolutely nothing bar the most penny-pinching crap.
The london bendy busses are notionally mercedes, have air suspension so they they lurch like torpedoed that side to the kerb and the second WIDE set of doors (ie front is first, then second....) have an auto ramp, which always gets full of crap and wont retract, so the bus becomes disabled too.
That`s a scania version of a bendy bus according to the vid, i`m no bus-spotter, so it may have air suspension but if it has twatty boy was too much of a div to do any more than that.
The best part of him went down their milkman`s leg IMHO.
