I can't believe it was only available for a week on the website and red button

I think one could buy it from their website. Guess it was probably limited though.
I've said it before and I'll say it again, for my money this is the best TV broadcast live concert I've ever seen.

and mentor of composing for my years during which I had a mentor for such things, Mr Joe Duddell, did the arrangements (EDIT: for the recent Manchester performances with the Halle)! :D

Toppest bloke, great composer.

with Joe Duddell? *worships*. I fell in love with his stuff in 2003 with his percussion concerto (can't remember the title) for Colin Currie.

Oh my god you've heard of him!! You are now my hero.
I "trained under him". That's what us types say. I'm classical don't you know. ;). Or I guess, erm, kind of neo-minimalist given the Duddell influence.
He was genuinely a real pleasure to study with. Just so laid back, not a hint of bollocks about him at all. Before him I had a tutor who refused to consider some of my work, pretty much because it was a song and therefore beneath him so it was refreshing just to be able to compose what they hell I wanted and have it appraised sensibly. Like erm, a composer.
What else like ye? Joe was heavily influenced by Louis Andriessen and Steve Martland, both well worth checking out if you've not done so.

have gazzed you, as mutual classical music geekery is likely to bore everyone else on this board.

Until a couple of days later when I was at a conference with that track looping over a corporate video for the North West of England ALL DAY.
I now cannot abide even a single bar of that once wonderful song :(
