Every action film trailer uses the same bass sound over and over and over...

Speaking of bass on trailers
I recently listened to Soundstage - Glacial Melt recorded by Chris Watson ( www.bbc.co.uk/podcasts/series/nathistory ) and about 5 minutes in you can hear a natural bass drop that wouldn't be out of place on any blockbuster action trailer.

I fucking hate Wilhelm
Every time I hear it it brings me right out of the film. See also Hitchcock cameos and Peter Jackson's fucking children.

They spent all that money on theater audio hardware, they need something to vibrate the popcorn out of your lap.
