i dont get it
what is supposed to happen? I kept my eye on the cross while a load of jumpy faces flashed around....and it ended...?

If you look at the cross
Most of the faces you see out the corners of your eyes look very weird and alien-like. But if you watch it again and look at the faces, you see what they really are.
It's very interesting to experience.

You're not looking at the images directly
So your brain tries to compensate using the limited information entering your eyes, not to mention the fact you've got two faces to look at simultaneously and a very short time-period between each face. The result is most of the images on /board.
