
But the whole film is generally brilliant, it almost totally relies on dialogue which is amazing. sadly twattish students reduce it to catchphrase comedy and its far far better than that.

The constant drinking and drug use seemed to to be nothing less than heroic at the time.
I revisited the film ten years later, and it was like watching a completely different movie. Far from being heroic, it had become utterly tragic - motivated not by joy as I had originally seen it, but by despair.

once you get past the drinking games shenanegins, it becomes a properly tragic but beautiful film about male friendship.

Some lovely music in there but the OST CD's a pile of pants because of licensing issues.

all together I'd seen all of it, but in parts, over the years, late night viewing and smoking. Watched it all in one go one day.
I bet I'm not the only one who saw it this way.
