Huge Crash at todays Macau F3 Race
Sophia Floersch the van Amersfoort driver’s car was launched into the air over Sho Tsuboi's and flew over the barriers and into a photographers bunker at barely abated speed, having lost its wheels in a crash earlier down the straight. I hope she is ok. Edit By all accounts she is fine and has gone to hospital for check ups. Edit Apparently she has a Spinal fracture.

Seems like racing would be much safer if they attached all the cars together... like a train.

The marshal, Chan Cha In, suffered a laceration of the face, abrasion of his upper abdomen wall and a fractured jaw. Photographer Chan Weng Wang sustained a liver laceration and is being observed in hospital, with fellow photographer Minami Hiroyuki suffering a concussion and likewise under observation.

She crashed into someone at the end of the high speed straight.
and lost her wheels and brakes.
Have a look for the blue "sausage" kerb just inside the regular kerb. That launched her up. Then she hits the car which launched her even higher.

Appears to have hit the front wheel of the yellow car
Which would have flicked her up and accelerated her.

I'd like to see all injured make a full recovery as far as they can given their injuries.
Then I'd like to see the photos/video the photographers took if they unintentionally filmed the car hurtling towards them. I'd hope they'd ducked/moved instead though.

But how did she even manage that? All the other cars are virtually stopped and she looked like she'd just been fired out of a cannon! Backwards!

There was a yellow caution light that flashed just after the bend leasing up to that corner. The driver in front of her braked she was too close and hit his back wheel, spun her around lost a wheel rest of the feild braked for the corner she came in backwards at 270kph. Lucky girl.
