This is a normal post why not just use a raspberry pi?
it would cost a hell of a lot less than £100 per unit, that's an absurd price, regardless of the case.

This is a normal post Does it have an authentic mode where you sit waiting for the game to load for 15 minutes
before being greeted by LOAD ERROR! (or whatever the Speccy used to say, I was a C64 chap myself)
(, Tue 2 Dec 2014, 13:17, Reply)
This is a normal post 15 minutes!!!
That's near 4G speed compared to the time some games took to load. Seem to recall Jet Set Willy took 30 minutes+

This is a normal post 30 minutes? Ha! We used to pray to Gay Satan for 30 minutes.
It took Horace Goes On The Dole a full fortnight to load. And even when it did - which was as rare as hen's teeth - the computer would implode and take the whole street with it back to the level of hell it whence came.

This is a normal post Luxury!
We were so poor we had to memorise the machine code then recreate the appropriate tones and noises with only a microphone, car battery and jump leads attached to our testicles.

Manic Miner would take 2 months to load, and when or even if it did we were raided by the thatchers private police for striking and beaten within an inch of our lives.

This is a normal post The Spectrum was shit then, and it's shit now.
If you want a retro computer buy a Commodore FFS.

This is a normal post You're joking right?
