It's all about the venom in the lyrics and the delivery of them. Removing them robs the song of all of its power.

The original plagued my uni life, it was chuffing EVERYWHERE.
Even back then I thought it sounded like a whiny, spoilt american teen being told to clean his room:
"FUCK YOU I WON'T DO WHAT YOU TELL ME!"

Because maybe the epitome of your (and your contemporaries) problems was just that; overbearing parents with minor household chores. However it is clearly about institutionalised racial abuse in the culture and government of the US.
