excellent, I love the stuff nature gets up to when it thinks we're not watching. I remember walking down a back alley once and seeing 4 cats all sitting around in a circle who scarpered when they saw me. I swear they were holding a meeting

Ha ha
I saw a squirrel talking to a magpie once. I can only assuming they were putting the finishing touches to a bird/rodent alliance.

A group of pigeons dropped a full pastie on me once
it narrowly missed me, I looked up onto a rooftop and saw four pigeons looking down on me. Very surreal

That's not a puddle
it's a wallow, usually used by stags during the rutting season. They roll around in it, after they've pissed in it, and cover themselves in pheromone drenched mud.
My guess is that the vid has caught a randy hind being overcome by the deer equivalent of Lynx.

Reading comprehension much?
"My guess is that the vid has caught a randy hind". That's another word for a doe. Doh.

Its an elk
seriously An elk calf looks NOTHING a fawn.
Does nobody over there read any nature or wildlife books.
Elk are not all that rare, in my area we have thousands.
But we practice sustainable hunting and did not murder off all our large prey and predators.
