This is a normal post There's a wonderful anecdote in Paul Brickhill's book The Dam Busters
about the testing of the Tallboy bombs. Basically, bomb aiming at that point was primitively inaccurate, so it was cynically suggested that the safest place to put the camera was dead centre on the target.

Six tons of steel-encased RDX landed squarely on top of it...

I've been watching quite a lot of the archery. The only time they showed a view from that cam was when it broke.
