The bizarrely British applause for their healthcare workers
I made this!
How long will the clapping / pot banging go on for?
Now Nigel Farage has got in on the act, can we maybe call it a day?

It's not purely British.
Here, in Spain, we have it every fucking night, at 8. There have been cases of people posting notices, calling out people for not clapping.

Yep.
We've also got a "DJ" who starts up the "uplifting" music from his balcony just after. For about an hour.

Kind of.
Maybe more modern and subtle (not that subtle).
There is the, now obligatory song, Resisteré which is like "I will Survive", but was originally more of a protest song.
Now, if you don't stand up at 8pm and sing the song about resisting (even though it was written by someone whose father was jailed by the Franco regime) You are persona non grata.
