Just opened the new pumps.The station was just hopping, I hadn't had time to do anything, let alone have change. I put out my signs, but customers were relentless. Another guy came in and tossed a 20 on the counter.
"Give me 10 dollars on pump 3."
"I don't have any change, I have no way to break this." I said.
"Well then give me 5 dollars on pump 3!" he says.
I look him square in the eye and say, "Man, you have got to be kidding."
He says, "What? Give me three fives!"
You can't fix stupid. I just pushed the bill back to him and he looked at me like I stole his lunch, picked up the bill, and walked out the door.

This story would be notable in the UK.......but in the US, I understand that this sort of inability to grasp simple concepts is relatively commonplace - after all, look at who they think is suitable Presidential material.
But the writer of the story is lucky that the customer didn't get out his personal automatic firearm (that his daddy gave him when he was four years old) and blow him away - this is also commonplace in the United States of Trumpton, I believe.

I don't understand much of what's going on here.Particularly a "hopping" petrol station. And the lack of a float in your till. And cash being used. And pumps not being self service.
