This is a question Anonymous

One of the B3ta team danced on stage at the Brixton Academy dressed as an enormous white rabbit, and lived to tell the tale. Confess the stuff – good or bad - you've done anonymously.

Edith Bowman Racist Slur
www.unofficialmills.co.uk/communities/showthread.php?t=5144

This was me, I honestly thought it was just a bit of fun. Didnt really take in that it might offend Japanesers. Sorry to any who might be reading but Im not sorry Edith read it out, she shoulda screened it if it was a bit dodgy. And i didnt email it in, it was a text! she didnt read out the other part about when its hot we say its "George Micheal" (warm - wham...do it in a geordie accent you'll get it)

Is it racist?
The japanese for "Japan" is "Nippon", so surely "Nip" is no more racist than calling me a "Brit".

Dunno
but generally it's used pejoratively, which is why 'Paki' is unacceptable in itself but 'Scot' (for example) is OK

Try saying 'Brit' with an Irish accent
- and tell me the paddies aren't being pejorative.

this
I was thinking exactly the same thing.

Does this mean I shouldn't refer to it as a 'Jap's eye' then?
Especially if my interlocutor is a short, yellow person?
What else should I call it when talking to strangers, or when comparing knobs with someone to whom I have not been formally introduced?
(, Mon 18 Jan 2010, 15:42, closed)
Call it
your cock hole, like everyone else*

*probably just me

You thick cunt
Something becomes offensive as soon as someone is offended, and I'm pretty certain all you Yids, Pakis and Nips will agree.

I didnt hear it on the radio, musta been skiving in the bogs but i went to my mates that night and as he was about to read a teletext page titled "Radio 1 DJ apologies over racist remark" i dove over the room and took the remote. I explained my text, etc... and then he read the page. his jaw dropped as he realised i was indeed the instigator of the "slur"

wicked!
