The best thing I've built
Wehttamman asks: My dad and I once built a go-kart from chipboard, pram wheels and an engine from a lawn mower. It didn't work... so tell us about your favourite things you've made, and whether they were a triumph or complete failure.

This
I made this in 2007 for my daughter's birthday. Got the plans from a Garden Projects DIY book, modified them a little, and built it effectively from scratch over the course of a couple of weekends. Five years on and it's still standing.
It's not a shed, by the way!

Well, yes
It looks like a shed. That's why I made sure to specify up front that it's not.

If it was a shed...
...and I'm not saying it is, but if it was, it'd be a girls shed. On account of being built for my daughter, and all that.

technically it's a summer house
as it has a front window and a verandah.

Making stuff
is a lot easier than you might expect. There's nothing particularly complicated about that playhouse. A lot of 90 degree cuts, a few at other angles, some screwing, some nailing, and a fair bit of paint.

Now that you ask...
Yes, a decent 5x3m brick shed, actually.
It looks like this (only a lot less tidy now) :
I didn't build it, although I did help put the roof on, and I built the workbench and one or two other bits 'n' pieces inside.

Looks like
a small stable. Any horse big enough to poke its head through that window would be too big for it though.
Perhaps it is a stable for a baby giraffe?
Then again, no bolt or second latch on the door though...
And no hay. You can clean a stable as much as you like, but there will always be hay.

Nice
Although I know it isn't a shed, what book did you use? I'm about to build an 8' x 8' shed and I've taken to going to the local garden buildings place with my tape measure and camera!
