Music on vinyl records, mobile phones the size of house bricks and pornography printed on paper. What hideously out of date stuff do you still use?
Thanks to boozehound for the suggestion

I still buy CDs.
Bang on all you like about the clutter of jewel cases: I don't care. That's why god gave us shelves. And, although the first thing I do with a new album is copy it onto my mp3 player - 8 gig, three years old and, since Sony players aren't compatible with macs, necessitating that I bring CDs into the office to rip - the idea of obtaining music without the tangible storage medium just seems to be... wrong.
As a paradigm example, I offer Nevermind. I know it's not the best album in the world - it's not even Nirvana's best - but I still get the same thrill opening up the case as I got when I bought the album for myself shortly after it came out. Merely holding and opening the box brings a pleasure of its own.
Plus, I don't know how to download music or where from.

I do download music a lot
but I still totally agree with you. There is pleasure to be had from having something physical. CDs, vinyl, books. These are all nice things. They feel good and they look good.

Best Nirvana Album
Either Incesticide or Bleach - I also brought the 24 carat gold original master tapes version of Nevermind, it has a very funky device that stop the cd from falling out of the case.

In Utero
By a long, long way.
Incesticide doesn't count as an album anyway, it's a compilation.

What's wrong with jewel cases?
They're not exactly huge. And they're better than these cheapo cardboard things which don't fit properly in the racks.
OK, if you have 5000 CDs, then they're going to take up a lot of space. But that's about £50k worth, and if you can afford that you can afford a big house with lots of CD racks.
