This is a question Bullshit and Bullshitters

We've had questions about lies and liars in the past, but this time we're asking about the sort of fantasist who constantly claims they've got a helicopter in the garden or was "second onto the balcony at the Iranian Embassy siege". Tell us about the cobblers you've been told, or the complete lies you've come out with.

Thanks to dozer for the suggestion

This is true
as can be shown by the fact that it happens again about a mile further west. It's the lie of the land. I imagine because it was more cost effective to do that than buy the house and demolish it, and then try to create a level foundation to lay the road on.

If they wanted him out, they would have just kicked him out like what happened to some old couple in Lincolnshire when they built a bypass.

I suspect...
things would have been slightly different if the M62 was being built today!

Actually, come to think of it, if the M62 was being built today, it may have taken a completely different route - there'd have been so many eco-warrior on the case trying to prevent the destruction of so many hills etc.

I don't think
you can get from Leeds to Machester and avoid hills.

Well you could, but you'd have to go via Tamworth, or Lancaster.

wouldn't you have to
Head up the A1 up to Scotch Corner?

If you want to avoid the Pennines altogether, you can go all the way up the A65 past Skipton, round the edge of the Dales and the Forest of Bowland, go left at Ingleton, then join the M6 and go south.

Would eco-warriors still get in a flap if the hills in concern were so bleak and inhospitable not even sheep will live up there (e.g. Holme Moss)?
