Thing is
There are as many different types of Paganism as there are Pagans. Its a umberella term, Some styles have more followers, Some fall in and out of favor. Sometimes certain 'characters' attach themselves to paths, characters who do more harm than good and are only in it for the headlines and media attention. (just like organised religions)

Post Modern Golden Dawn is probably the easiest way to describe it.

I'm not sure you can seperate pagan religions from organised religions.
Buddhism, Hinduism and Sikhism are pagan religions. I'd hardly call those a loose bunch of people with similar religious beliefs,
