I tried so hard not to make any mistakes in that post. I'm no grammar nazi but knew I'd be jumped on for the slightest mistake.

Glad I'm not the only one to be infuriated when people invent new words by pushing two words together.

I think people get confused by the word "allot" (allocate). But "a lot" - meaning "a large amount" - is two words.
