For some reason it always irks me when people say "Log on to our website" when most of the time you don't actually log on at all.

They always do this on BBC London News:

"For more stories, log on to our website at bbc.co.uk/london"

Bugs the piss out of me, too.
Log on, click on, surf to, visit, the list goes on.

If I'm directing someone to a particular web site, I'll just say "go to", or "look at", or even "check out" if I'm feeling particularly hip that day.

Fucking log on, indeed.

"click on to" is the one I hate most

haha yes
I also dislike "online blog"

although Woman's Own have a 'blog' column in their print version, where readers can write their own 'blog'

usually they can be summarised in three words

"I like shoes"
"I am 47"
"My husband's rubbish"
"I'm Myra Hindley"

etc

wait, this isn't /board

Well said
That bugs me, HTTP is a stateless protocol.

I also get annoyed when people reading a web address insist on saying "Forward slash" and not just "slash".

Maybe I just need to get out more.
