This is a question I don't understand the attraction

Smaug says: Ricky Gervais. Lesbian pr0n. Going into a crowded bar, purely because it's crowded. All these things seem to be popular with everybody else, but I just can't work out why. What leaves you cold just as much as it turns everyone else on?

Religious Wars
I don't get the fighting in the name of religion.

I believe in God.

Jews believe in God.
Christians believe in God.
Muslims Believe in God.

In fact they all believe in the same god, So why the f**k can't they just get along and stop fighting each other?

"all believe in the same god"
How on earth can you tell if one person's invisible magic friend is actually the same as another person's invisible magic friend?
(, Fri 16 Oct 2009, 12:24, closed)
all believe in the same god
Because they both look the same.

Yes.
Because religious wars really are about theology, aren't they? Nothing else at all.

For fuck's sake.

Indeed.
Leaders of countries use religion to zealotise the masses. Usually the reasons behind the conflict are much more pedestrian; resources, land etc.

because
my god is better than your god.

only joking, there is no god.

Jesus told the disciples to love one another
and christians have been slaughtering each other for hundreds of years over exactly what Jesus meant by that.

But then if it came naturally to love one another they wouldn't have needed to be told to do it.
