This is a question Common

Freddy Woo writes, "My wife thinks calling the front room a lounge is common. Worse, a friend of hers recently admonished her daughter for calling a toilet, a toilet. Lavatory darling. It's lavatory."

My own mother refused to let me use the word 'oblong' instead of 'rectangle'. Which is just odd, to be honest.

What stuff do you think is common?

Staffordshire Bull Terriers
and their owners.

They look hard but are soft as shite, zero intelligence, squat features and thick skulls, have poor social skills and are crap at working.

are the dogs like?

And they crap in the street and lick their own balls.
No, wait...
(, Mon 20 Oct 2008, 9:18, closed)
eeermmm...
I own a staffy, and I am none of these things.
(, Mon 20 Oct 2008, 10:10, closed)
What about the Staff?

(, Mon 20 Oct 2008, 10:20, closed)
hmm
I pity you and all who are so prejudiced against Staffs. I bet you've only ever seen one from across the street. Agreed it's a pity they became fashionable as a 'hard' dog.. something that suits them not one iota.

"I bet you've only ever seen one from across the street"
Wtf?

I pity you and your prejudiced comment.

Of course they're crap at working...
They're dogs.

Ahem.

Seriously though, my mum and dad own a Staff and she's lovely, if a bit of a nark to other dogs. Otherwise, as you say, soft as shite.
(, Mon 20 Oct 2008, 11:36, closed)
Precisely
They were bred for fighting not working.
They needed to be ok with humans/handlers but agressive to other dogs.

When I say working I mean guarding, herding, retrieving, hunting, sled pulling, etc.
(, Mon 20 Oct 2008, 12:00, closed)
Errm
They're 'terriers', what did you expect?
(, Mon 20 Oct 2008, 13:14, closed)
What do you mean by "They're 'terriers', what did you expect?"?
Most terriers are bred for hunting.
Staffies aren't, they were bred for fighting.

Terriers are great for ratting, but...
..."guarding, herding, retrieving, hunting, sled pulling"?

If you want a dog that guards get a rottweiler/doberman
If you want a dog that herds get a sheepdog
If you want a dog that retrieves get a retriever
If you want a dog that pulls sleds get a husky

What? Pull your head in.
I'm not recommending a terrier for guarding, retrieving, herding or sled pulling.

Where have I said that?

ffs

*shakes head*

Apparently
staffy's are very loving dogs what come in many colours red blue brindle pied black. People think staffys are bad dogs what kill people but its how you raise them

Which planet are you on?
Have you read and absorbed anything I've put?
