Narrow Escapes
IHateSprouts tells us they once avoided getting caught up in an IRA bomb attack by missing a train. Tell us how you've dodged the Grim Reaper, or simply avoided a bit of trouble.

Technically
what you are seeing is a runaway overgrown courgette.

Cheers
What I've done so far is:
1. stuff them with mince and onions/bolgnese sauce and bake
2. put peeled chunks in a casserole
Any ideas, recipes or other uses, greatly appreciated.

Get the small ones
use a peeler lengthways and fry them for a bit, add em to a salad along with the flowers. Tis good

The peeled ones also go well as a layer in lasagna, next to the pasta sheets.

peeled, pipped, sliced and fried, or wiped with oil and oven cooked.
Add salt, et voila! Best not to overcook them though, a little firmness is better than soggy.

Awesome.
I demand to see The Continuing Adventures of Dave the Marrow (or whatever it's called) as it goes about to get to wherever marrows want to go.

Oh god
my neighbours caught me in the act, you don't seriously expect me to follow it down to the High Street?
Wouldn't mind doing "Dave the marrow visits the beauty salon" though. I'd enter the salon, marrow in one hand, camera in the other and ask the beautician "Would you like to be in a movie?".
