This is a question Expensive Mistakes

coopsweb asks "What's the most expensive mistake you've ever made? Should I mention a certain employee who caused 4 hours worth of delays in Central London and got his company fined £500k?"

No points for stories about the time you had a few and thought it'd be a good idea to wrap your car around a bollard. Or replies consisting of "my wife".

What's wrong with this picture?
This has always made me laugh.. it's the Mancunian way in Manchester. The billboard hides an planning howler, the spur off the flyover, if completed, would meet a one way dual carriageway... going the other way.

So near.. yet so far..

Apparently the designer of the Mancunian Way screwed up on that junction, as this sliproad if completed would've sent traffic the wrong way up a one way street.
So they just left it hanging in mid air, as a conundrum to future generations.

Am i the only one that didnt see this being unusual? it used to be a feeder for the city, but has since been closed and the turn off moved another 100m further down the road.. check out google maps if you dont believe me... not that i did..(ahem):S

theres a similar change to an overpass near the birkenhead tunnel where a flyover has been moved / chnaged.
