This is a question First World Problems

Onemunki says: We live in a world of genuine tragedy, starvation and terror. So, after hearing stories of cruise line passengers complaining at the air conditioning breaking down, what stories of sheer single-minded self-pity get your goat?

Toilet roll
It's a two part problem and I'm sure my human rights are being abused or something.

1. The amount of wastage on a new roll breaking the paper seal on the first sheet.

2. When the perforations don't line up and there's anything up to half a sheet difference...

I'm >< this close to calling the UN.

When the perforations don't line up.
Take the outside layer and unravel it until it's the inside layer, then they will line up.

This.

You're forgetting ...
... the third part of the problem which happens when someone hangs the loo roll the wrong way round.

This doesn't happen any more round here.
I've killed everyone who did that near to me.

I get more annoyed when I stack a huge pyramid of toilet rolls on the shelf behind the toilet and then they fall into the bowl.
If I was in charge of designing toilet rolls I would make the inner tube protrude slightly so they stacked better.

Or you could note the features of their existing design and stack them in such a way that they're less likely to fall over.

ive not used loo roll in 7 weeks, there is a mini shower / hose / bumgun next to the bog, its rather refreshing and helps with the spicy pipes
