We get Friday afternoons off instead, which works for me. Makes Fridays even more exciting.
As for not doing anything, my boss is extra vigilant on Monday and Friday mornings.
In places with less vigilant bosses, I suppose nothing at all would happen on a Monday in that scenario - the same "what's the point, I'm going in a few hours" viewpoint as some get away with at our place on Fridays, would happen on a Monday instead.
