Nah, it's good
Take a small amount and crisp it under a grill or in a pan, until its concentrated essence of salty rich cured ham. It adds an extra depth and crunch.

I'm sure it's lovely.
I used to buy breakfast rolls of a Dutch fella in St Albans - bacon, egg, mushrooms and frikandel. Having looked up frikandel on Wikipedia, I'm forced to conclude that Dutch and German cuisine is terrible.
