Me old dog, Ben
Seeing him pissed off half a can of carling. Utterly comical. Watching a large labrador rottweiler stumble about, take a few seconds to focus on you then wag his tail and run over a bit dizzily towards you before randomly wagging his tail again and repeat it every few seconds is comical :D

Oh wow that is soooo funny....
it's not like alcohol is bad for dogs for anything and the dog has no choice in the matter... give him a whole bar of 70% cocoa chocolate later and you can have a bloody good laugh as it nearly kills him!!
I'm off to give my five year old son a double vodka see if he hilariously falls off his bike in the park later!!
I'll be back to report all teh funnehs.

Nah, I know the cocoa score with dogs
The occasional beer is nice though. Hey, he had fun, plus he managed to finish most of his kebab afterwards.

know do
score shunt

Hahahahahahahaha!!!
This is the funniest indignant rant I've read in ages. I especially love the way you compare your own five year-old son to a labrador rottie.

A+ would read again.

sadly, i have to report
that after the double vodka, the child ran outside and mauled an OAP. It's due to be put down later this week as required by the dangerous animal act.

Alcohol's bad for people too
or so I've heard.

We generally consume it in larger quantities than half a can though.

Anyway, dogs seem to love beer. The thicker and darker the better. And don't tell me they don't know what it's for. Not with those noses. Of course they know what it is. That's why they drink it.

Did you never see this?

Animals naturally go after things that are bad for them too.

Not related exactly but linked on the same page

Mmm, delicious brake fluid...
It must get them high. What's in brake fluid?
(, Fri 23 Jul 2010, 11:15, closed)
That's nothing
The best animal intoxication I've ever witnessed was when we got a hedgehog stoned at uni by giving it blowbacks...
(, Fri 23 Jul 2010, 11:06, closed)
hahaha
I would've loved to have seen that trying to cross a road :D
(, Fri 23 Jul 2010, 11:11, closed)
nah
It just sort of rolled over a lot (it wasn't capable of crossing any roads), but was definitely more chilled out than when we, er, caught it.

Haters - it did make a perfect recovery, and probably returned home to Mrs. Hedgehog with tales to tell.

Um,
you deliberately gave your dog alcohol? For a laugh?

Dogs absolutely love the stuff
I'm not on about once a week, like christ he's got his own tab in Freshers, like a treat from Xmas, that kind of thing :)
(, Fri 23 Jul 2010, 10:36, closed)
To be fair, dogs absolutely love anything food/drink-wise.
We never let our border collie have booze partly because we didn't know the differences in human/canine physiology but MAINLY because he was fucking batshit crazy anyway! (I think all collies are). He died just over a year ago- still miss him like billy-o.
Dogs, eh? ;)

I find it hard to believe people drink carling out of choice

(, Fri 23 Jul 2010, 10:59, closed)
"Carling don't make beer"
Edit-Full stop.

I like a weaker beer every now and again
so I can drink more of it and not feel like shit the next day

though I do refer to it as "cooking lager"
(, Fri 23 Jul 2010, 12:02, closed)
There are still plenty of other options though

(, Fri 23 Jul 2010, 12:08, closed)
I do prefer a Becks

I remember getting in trouble myself when the wife came home and the dog and I were both pissed, playing fetch in the house. I often wonder why she left me.
