This is a question Kids

Either you love 'em or you hate 'em. Or in the case of Fred West - both. Tell us your ankle-biter stories.

people who say:
"Isn't he/she the most beautiful, cutest, most adorable baby that you've ever seen?"

No. They all look the same.

!
They don't, I've seen some that are so ugly they make you take a step back.

Not quite true
They come in a range of colours, and occasionally some can be a bit misshapen or have bits missing.

But they're all ugly little bastards.

Agrees.

Our local papers sometimes has a 'new baby' section.

I rank a top three ugly babies each time I see it.

I worry
that if I had a baby I'd be walking round the neo-natal unit, peering into cots, thinking "which one is it?".

It can be simplified slightly
By using a simple classification system:

- 'Normal looking' - covers surprisingly few
- 'Fat' - self-explanatory
- 'Overly hairy' - people have given birth to monkeys
- 'Frankenstein' - some of the ugliest you've ever seen

^^
How about:
Pig-faced (fat and snouty)
and
"Took-'em-out-the-mould-too-early"?

Well
I shall just have to add those categories next time round.

@ CHCB
You'd be surprised how easy it is to pick out your own offspring. When mine were forcibly ejected through the sun roof they showed me the first one and my only thought was, "Oh. My. God. I've given birth to my own father!"
That was a rather scary moment.

However, I look back at their baby photos now and can't tell them apart.

Sorry, disagree.
Half of them look like Albert Einstein and the other half look like Winston Churchill.

FACT.

I disagree. I have a nephew that looked like Ross Perot and one that looked like Mr. Magoo.

No Edisons or Churchills here.

A couple of days after I was born
I was still in hospital (caesarian, etc.) I'm sat in the baby parking area. My dad comes along to pick me up, and a nurse who has never seen him before and doesn't know his name says "Ah! This'll be your one then!" and picks me up.

I looked like my father from the day I popped out. I still look like him now (but not in the same way I did as a baby).
