Some people think alcohol is a drug.
It's not a drug, it's a drink.

Strictly speaking it's an organic compound in which a hydroxyl functional group (-OH) is bound to a carbon atom, usually connected to other carbon or hydrogen atoms.

The effects of a heroin overdose are lethal. Yes in the short term. Absolutely no research has been done into the long term effects.

*awaits abuse of the term "rearing children"*

Yeah, your mum's a biological imperative to aid procreation and the subsequent rearing of children.
Err, no, wait... I think I might be doing this wrong...

You know, me and a mate spar well together like this, and once down the pub had quite an audience of mates as we laid into each other.
I totally won the exchange - put him down precisely - I fancy surgically - to good laughter, and his response was, "Yeah, well ... er ...
I FUCKED YOUR MUM!"
Which completely brought the house down.
To this day no one - including me - has any idea of what my original, brilliant put-down was.

Hahaha!
An argument you can't win with a mum joke is an argument not worth having :-)

No, no, you're good
Raise crops and rear children. It's wrong if you say raise kids (technically, and if you care about that sort of shit)
