This is a question Old stuff I still know

Our Ginger Fuhrer says that he could still code up a simple game idea in Amstrad Basic, while I'm your man if you ever need to rebuild the suspension on an Austin Allegro (1750 Equipe version). This stuff doesn't leave your mind - tell us about obsolete talents you still have.

It's not Obsolete....
You can piously explain that you studied latin, and know where the word "Amorous" comes from :)

Or...
You could explain that you watched Dead Poets Society last night, like I did.

It's certainly not obsolete in the aquatics industry, but only from one Ichthyologist to another

My old Latin teacher
Was very impressed that, some 10 years after leaving school and bumping into him in a pub, I was still able to recite "bam, bas, bat, bamis, batis, bant"

So he bought me a pint :)

Me too
Conjugate present tense of the verb "to be"
Sum es et sumus estis sunt

Decline 2d declension neuter noun for "war"
Bellum Bellum Bellum Belli bello bello
Belli Belli Belli Bellorum Bellis Bellis

An English mnemonic for remembering the rhythm of dactylic hexameter (as used in Virgil's Aeneid):
Down in a deep dark ditch
Sat an old cow munching a beanstalk
Out of her mouth came forth
Yesterday's dinner and tea.

The benefits of a classical education, old boy... i.e. no fucking use to anyone.

I just remember the ends of the lines are always "strawberry jam-pot"
dactyl - spondee. You just have to work out the rest by position or nature.

I fucking HATE scansion.

Actually...
2nd declension neuter plural nomative, vocative and accusative all end in an 'a'. If you care about scansion, it's a short 'a', too. You dropped an 's' in your third singular of 'to be' as well, but i'll let that slide as it's probably a typo.

Also, pfft! Who care about usefulness? Learn it because it's interesting! (Warning! - Latin grammar may not actually be interesting to normal people.)
