Although the postie hasn't been yet. God, I remember the days of getting up in the the morning and your post already being on the mat; now it's 1, maybe 2pm before his deigns to get his sorry arse around here.

when I was a kid it always arrived after 1pm
because the postman always stopped by all the farmhouses for a brew.
