Interesting first line there, love
showing a lot of knowledge there. How did you come by that then?

i used to love playing "champions of krynn"
but I was about 9 at the time!

You used to play Dragonlance.
This is simultaneously the best and worst news I've heard all day.

i don't know what it was, father christmas brought it one year
I used to weave out elaborate little fantasies about the dashing knight and the beautiful white mage. Then my brother would get hold of it and delete all the female characters and replace them with ugly fighting things.

This really is the extent of my knowledge on the subject.

Oh no, wait.... We had something called "hillsfar" too. And "the curse of the azure bonds" but i'd gone onto makeup by then.

Yeah. Whatever, Gandalf.
One day I'll come over to take a look at your extensive collection of multi-sided dice.

you can fix my mismatched clocks whilst you're at it
Going to be fun explaining that to the new flatmate... Subtract 9 mins from microwave, add 14 and an hour to oven, hall is fine but your bedroom is 27 mins too fast...

It never fails to boggle my mind
at how you somehow continue to survive in general society.

Her red mage couldn't turn a baaz, anyway
It's clerics that turn, and they turn the undead, not draconians.

She's such a loser.

I remember the main bloke was called Tanis Half-Elf
I think he was half elven

i think the fact that i did not know this (although it is ringing jangling alarm bells)
Shows that i am not the loser here!

there were BOOKS?
Did a dashing knight ever sweep a beautiful white mage (or a red mage, i'm no racist) off her feet??

They remade those about ten years ago.
They were mind-blowingly shit.
(, Fri 24 Dec 2010, 12:58, Reply)

I meant the books are probably not aimed at adults
