the radioactive stuff slowed my thyroid and made me fatter. To be fair, I was married at the time, so it was pretty much a moot point

I've got a hyper-active thyroid
But the Doc is reluctant to go down the radioactive iodine route.

So I'm knocking back dozens of pills a day instead.

I was being sized up for surgery the last time I went to the hospital
But they were unsure if my eyesight would suffer too much.

I've got another appointment with the hospital on the 6th, so I'll find out more then.
