I think it's mainly that I hate the underground in the summer.
I get terribly claustraphobic.

then it's like one of the circles of hell.

bearing in mind people's pleas for a cheap venue, the pub i have in mind has a decent garden terrace at the back but is also nice enough inside in case it rains. it's also v central and near a station - it is very hard juggling all these requirements!

but the solution to the tube in the heat is easy: TAXI, BABY.

i like walking home from work (about 6.5 miles)
but walking to work in the heat is awful, you arrive all sweaty and knackered!
