I have to go and make soup shortly
if I want to have lunch tomorrow. Can. Not. Be. Arsed.
(, Tue 11 Jan 2011, 22:21, 2 replies, latest was 15 years ago)
Can you not just get a tin of soup tomorrow?

(, Tue 11 Jan 2011, 22:22, Reply)
Because that would be ridiculous
given that I have the makings of soup in the fridge, which will be far superior to any of your canned soup nonsense.
(, Tue 11 Jan 2011, 22:32, Reply)
But if you can't be arsed?

(, Tue 11 Jan 2011, 22:34, Reply)
Could get up early and do it, I suppose
gah, I can't even type that with a straight face. Never gonna happen. Might have to be the canteen tomorrow then...

Well make sure you take your dinner money with you.
(Or are you on 'free' dinners?)

What needs to be done?

(, Tue 11 Jan 2011, 22:45, Reply)
I am making pea and mint soup
just not right now because I can't be bothered.
(, Tue 11 Jan 2011, 22:47, Reply)
Will it be a thick soup?

(, Tue 11 Jan 2011, 22:48, Reply)

(, Tue 11 Jan 2011, 22:52, Reply)

(, Tue 11 Jan 2011, 22:53, Reply)
I know that haha
I was referencing the terrible old joke.

What's the difference between roast beef and pea soup?

I could text you a picture of my last beef wellington. It was THAT good, I snapped it before putting it in the oven.

(, Tue 11 Jan 2011, 22:56, Reply)
That sounds all kinds of incredibly rude...

(, Tue 11 Jan 2011, 22:59, Reply)
It does.
Apologies. But it was fantastic.

EDIT: I tell a lie, I took the photo after it had been in the over.

which sounds even worse, doesn't it?
(, Tue 11 Jan 2011, 23:00, Reply)
If you text me a picture of your willy
then I will gaz it to everyone, you realise? (unless of course I've asked you to do so, which isn't impossible but highly unlikely)

My beef wellington didn't actually look all that great because the pastry split and the ends fell off, but it tasted fucking amazing.
(, Tue 11 Jan 2011, 23:03, Reply)
It was a beef wellington!

Every soup I make is a thick soup
quite often it is possible to stand the spoon upright in it (not a metal spoon to be fair, just plastic ones that I steal from the canteen) it's not so much soup as....well, paste I suppose. Goop.
(, Tue 11 Jan 2011, 22:54, Reply)
Creamy soup works well thick, but I like quite a loose soup if it has lot of veg in it.

(, Tue 11 Jan 2011, 22:57, Reply)
I don't really do creamy soup
what I do do is lots of vegetables blended to oblivion and maybe a bit of creme fraiche.
The exception being my chicken and mushroom soup, which has a whole tub of creme fraiche in it but which is so good it's...well. It's pretty damn good.
(, Tue 11 Jan 2011, 23:00, Reply)
I'm not a fan of chicken soup.
No idea why.
(, Tue 11 Jan 2011, 23:05, Reply)
It is very, very good soup
but fine *pouts*

(, Tue 11 Jan 2011, 22:25, Reply)
I had to cycle an extra three miles
because my car is borked (normally I cycle home then drive to my second job, but had to cycle to second job from work then cycle home) and no, I did not do anything ridiculous to my ladyparts, although my undercarriage is still rather tender thankyou Jeff.
