I don't know if anyone can help me, but for my research I've ended up with a load of files called 3d216 through to 3d939 and 3a216 through to 3a939. The program I need to use won't work unless they're numbered 3d001 through to 3dxxx and 3a001 through to 3axxx. Can I rename them all in sequence in one go or this is going to take me hours?
Sorry for being such a computer dunce and not being able to program in python so I can't edit the program I'm using :(

due to having no sleep and being at the lab for 14 hours which resulted me in overwriting files 1-215 in the next batch so I've had to analyse files 1-215 with the next time point so they are no good for this one. Short answer, no.

I'll try those programs tomorrow when I'll be more awake (another 14 hour lab day today) and can actually concentrate and not do something stupid again. Thank you for coming to the aid of a tired PhD student!!!
