:)
Very little shelf space at yours'.

Well...
Lots of shelves, just not a lot of space!

There is room downstairs to get a tall bookcase in the hallway so I'm thinking about that.

Or I could just get rid of a bunch of videos...

Noooooo!
Unless you could get mega-bucks for flogging them.

That's what I was thinking.
Trouble is I can't really be arsed to go down the E-Bay route. Too much hassle, potentially.

I've also got a load of vinyl I have no real use for anymore and am just keeping for nostalgia's sake. Plus I have most of it on CD now, or taped copies. Only trouble is the second hand record shops in Newcastle are not gettable to easily by car.

I keep my vinyl for nostalgia's sake but I never listen to it any more.
I've also got a big box of cassettes. Can't really face getting rid of them.

Mine are all in the shed.
As there's no room in here.

I've never used eBay - it looks scary!
Plus I'm a hoarder. I hate getting rid of stuff. My mum's still got an attic-ful of my clutter that I won't let her lob out.

If I were still a bachelor it wouldn't be so much of an issue.
But our place just isn't big enough for it all, even though it's not a bad size for a two bedroomed flat.

The realist in me is saying that I haven't got anything to play them on, nor am I likely to, so why have them cluttering up the place?

Sweary junior won't be living with you forever.
You can dump it all in there.
(, Tue 18 Jan 2011, 19:47, Reply)
D'ya reckon???
Also, no matter how much we like the place, realistically I doubt we could stay here forever. Not with the missus arthritis and a low level loft bedroom.

Also, I'd consider eBay
but I can't be arsed with all the posting and packing malarkey.

Very good point.
May be moving in with Miss Beekers in a few months and I think the only sensible move would be to open our own library.

Woo!
Give her my love.

I certainly shall :)

And ours.

You'd be amazed at what people pay on ebay
I flogged a load of vinyl on there a couple of years ago and got stupid money for some stuff I was embarrassed to admit to having bought.
(, Tue 18 Jan 2011, 19:55, Reply)
Is the posting and packing not a huge pain in the arse, though?

(, Tue 18 Jan 2011, 20:11, Reply)
I nicked a lot of stuff from my old work.
Bubblewrap, cardboard and the like.

I sort-of factored the pain in the arse value into the postage price.

If you've got to buy the packaging stuff it's not cheap.

I found the selling part quite addictive in the end. Lots of people don't bid until the last five minutes then you see a bit of a war going on.
