Over Christmas I drank very little (due to das poopenschnell, as the Germans say) and carried that on as "1 glass of wine with dinner in the week, whatever you like on Saturday, nothing on Sunday". That's 2 bottles of wine a week which is the recommended amount (down from 4-5 bottles a week).
This has worked well for 4 weeks - I've stuck to it and lost 4-5 lbs so far. But it's Friday night and it's only 20 past 8 and I've finished my glass of wine with dinner (turkey, mushroom and leek fricassee, delish).
Tell me, OT, that I can't have another because I'm going out tomorrow night AND will probably drink on Sunday while watching football. I need to do this for another week to turn it into a proper habit instead of an experiment.

Is rather beyond the recommendations of medical professionals, but it ain't problem drinking.
I remember watching a documentary about a geezer drinking 14 bottles A DAY.

Maybe they should be. I've always thought that I was indestructible but as I get older I suppose my luck is running thinner.

I'm careful about when I drink, because my license is my job, but if I'm not driving the next morning I tend to get a bit carried away.
Like this evening.

I took my brother's stepladder back. But that's only 5 minutes there and 5 back.
