Errrm sometimes
depends what I've got in the house and if I'm still peckish after my dinner. Nothing and yes in this instance.
(, Sun 30 Jan 2011, 22:28, 1 reply, 15 years ago)
When are you next going shopping?

(, Sun 30 Jan 2011, 22:38, Reply)
Tomorrow
because I have absolutely nothing in. I should have gone today but really couldn't be bothered.
(, Sun 30 Jan 2011, 22:40, Reply)
Do you shop on sight, or are you a list maker?

(, Sun 30 Jan 2011, 22:42, Reply)
List maker
I try not to buy stuff I don't need and stick to a budget.
(, Sun 30 Jan 2011, 22:45, Reply)
I'm a list maker for similar reasons.
Although I will go off-list for a bargain.
(, Sun 30 Jan 2011, 22:46, Reply)
Never shop whilst hungry
Although last time I came back with pistachios nom nomnomnom
(, Sun 30 Jan 2011, 22:47, Reply)
I came back with roast parsnips

(, Sun 30 Jan 2011, 22:51, Reply)
Most excellent call *high fives*

(, Sun 30 Jan 2011, 22:52, Reply)
They were delicious
Had with French Onion soup and a bit of pepperoni
(, Sun 30 Jan 2011, 23:01, Reply)
Yes
or something that I really, really want. Also, going food shopping when you're hungry is a really bad idea..
(, Sun 30 Jan 2011, 22:47, Reply)
Do you also play the 'guess the final total' game when you're going though the checkout?
When I used to shopping with the ex, we used to play the 'nearest the total price' game, with the winner getting a Flake.

It's a mystery hhow the marriage failed when you consider the non-stop fun we had...
(, Sun 30 Jan 2011, 22:53, Reply)
I'm freakishly good at adding stuff up on the conveyor, I think as I make a note of each item when I buy it but refuse to keep a running tally
But I knew that Maths A-Level would come in use sometime...
(, Sun 30 Jan 2011, 22:54, Reply)
Next time you're at the supermarket and you hear the 'beep'
Think of the fun you could be having on Supermarket Sweep.

*Weighs the pick n mix*
(, Sun 30 Jan 2011, 22:57, Reply)
I always wanted to be on Supermarked Sweep
God knows I can spend enough when I go shopping for stuff I need, if I was let loose who knows how much I'd have ranked up!
(, Sun 30 Jan 2011, 22:58, Reply)
It'd be ace to do that in a massive Tesco
Just grab shit loads of TVs and electronics.
(, Sun 30 Jan 2011, 22:59, Reply)
This always struck me as the obvious

(, Sun 30 Jan 2011, 23:05, Reply)
I think I'd stay in the baked goods aisle.

(, Sun 30 Jan 2011, 23:06, Reply)
GINNNNNNNN!!!!

(, Sun 30 Jan 2011, 23:10, Reply)
Oh actually you're right, this.
And Goldschager and Chambord and Jager.

AND GINGER ALE ALL OF THE GINGER ALE
(, Sun 30 Jan 2011, 23:11, Reply)
Slimline tonic for me
*sighs*
(, Sun 30 Jan 2011, 23:12, Reply)
now there are lots of people on here on diets
all we talk about is food :(
(, Sun 30 Jan 2011, 23:15, Reply)
Welcome to the internet.

(, Sun 30 Jan 2011, 23:16, Reply)
hmm
will orange hot chocolate make me feel less ill?
(, Sun 30 Jan 2011, 23:17, Reply)
If it's comforting, yes.

(, Sun 30 Jan 2011, 23:17, Reply)
Yes, my diet is mostly cutting out booze
but it'll all keep.
(, Sun 30 Jan 2011, 23:16, Reply)
Same here
Booze only at weekends, and in moderation.
(, Sun 30 Jan 2011, 23:18, Reply)
I don't really like it, anyway.
Unless I'm in a certain mood/company/place.

Sitting in a nice pub with good friends- yes. Friend's flat, relaxing and gossiping and rock-banding- yes. My living room at 8pm on a weeknight- no.
(, Sun 30 Jan 2011, 23:20, Reply)
Surely gin has more calories than the tonic does...

(, Sun 30 Jan 2011, 23:21, Reply)
slimline tonic is 1 calorie
Rounding up. So yes.
(, Sun 30 Jan 2011, 23:21, Reply)
Gin's around 50 cals a shot.

(, Sun 30 Jan 2011, 23:25, Reply)
really?!
Oh gosh that weekend was even worse than I thought
(, Sun 30 Jan 2011, 23:28, Reply)
Don't think about it.
IT's such a shame you can't drink gin straight, like you can good vodka.
(, Sun 30 Jan 2011, 23:30, Reply)
I didn't put the calories n my app
Therefore they don't count.
(, Sun 30 Jan 2011, 23:31, Reply)
I wrote down "3000 but it was worth it" in my book.

(, Sun 30 Jan 2011, 23:33, Reply)
It really really was!

(, Sun 30 Jan 2011, 23:37, Reply)
Indeed it was
I'm trying not to drink wine and stick to spirits instead.
(, Sun 30 Jan 2011, 23:38, Reply)
Definitely
besides, we did loads of walking over the weekend, that must have burnt off a good portion of it.
(, Sun 30 Jan 2011, 23:39, Reply)
We could have made up a team TGB.
I could have weighed out the pick n mix and grabbed the inflatable and got Dale's special shopping list, and you could have gone wild-in-the-aisle.
(, Sun 30 Jan 2011, 23:01, Reply)
We need to get that show back on the air Jeff
I've devised a plan using mainly spoons...
(, Sun 30 Jan 2011, 23:04, Reply)
Will I get a day-glo sweater if you're successful?

(, Sun 30 Jan 2011, 23:13, Reply)
Excellent film reference right there.

(, Sun 30 Jan 2011, 23:57, Reply)
I do indeed
and I'm generally pretty good at it. That said, I've nobody to compete against and I'd just eat the flake anyway...
(, Sun 30 Jan 2011, 23:00, Reply)
I also play 'guess the attendance' at football.
With the loser having to buy the half-time coffee/bovril at the following home game.
(, Sun 30 Jan 2011, 23:03, Reply)
I don't go to football
because it's a silly game.
(, Sun 30 Jan 2011, 23:05, Reply)
I enjoy football.
I'm sad that you can't be happy for me.
(, Sun 30 Jan 2011, 23:14, Reply)
Go down a bit

Going shopping on a Sunday is stupid.
It's always far, far too busy. Last time I went it took me about 45 minutes to turn up, get to the door and think "Fuck this" then get out of the car park again.
