Mine is similarI tried to dye it red, it went orange. I tried to dye it several shades of blonde, it went orange. Tried to dye it back to brown, it went purple. When I tried to dye it purple it went sort of magenta. I go to a salon now if I want it done...
EDIT - this was over a period of about six months, I might add, I had quite short hair at the time, which I eventually dyed black to get rid of all the orange.

one of my studentshad her fringe dyed about 5 colours, I was meant to be telling her off but I was just too jealous of it
